Frequently, the cost of upgrading the equipment with modern controls and systems is far less than the cost of purchasing and installing a new unit.

Here are some examples of retrofits and upgrades that we offer.

Tenney Environmental Chambers
Refrigerant Modifications - Environmentally safe refrigerants in compliance with the Clean Air Act and the Montreal Protocol are available. Our technicians are trained in the use of the many refrigerants available to replace the old ozone depleting refrigerants.

Instrument Upgrades - Control upgrades from all older Tenney Engineering units, including Microtenn, Digitenn, and Versatenn, to the newer Versatenn IV and the Award winning, Versatenn V control featured on our Home page. Control upgrades can reduce programming and operator interface time by utilizing state of the art communications features designed into most Tenney Controls.

Equipment Upgrade - Existing equipment can be modified to meet specifications that were not required when the chamber was purchased, i.e. Ln2, humidity upgrades, dry air purge, additional ports, etc. Our Customer Support and Engineering staff can prepare a quotation to fit your equipment needs.

Gruenberg Equipment
Instrument Upgrades - Upgrades of existing Temperature Control Systems to state of the art Microprocessor based, programmable controls.

PLC Touch Screen Control - Upgrades of existing Control panels to Touch Screen/PLC based controls including Temperature and automated process systems. PLC controls allow greater flexibility in future upgrades and eliminate many of the relays and timers typically required with older style PID controls. Pharmaceutical systems, in particular are ideal candidates for a PLC upgrade.

Equipment Upgrade - Existing equipment can be modified to meet specifications that were not required when the chamber was purchased, i.e. Increased temperature operating range, increased exhaust capability and safety venting equipment to handle volitates.
 

Lunaire Steady State Chambers
Equipment Upgrade - Refrigeration packages can be added to chambers purchased with a limited temperature range. In most cases these are "drop in" packages and can be field modified, increasing the operating range of the old system. In addition, Humidification and Dehumidification packages can be easily installed on these systems.

Instrument Upgrades - Control upgrades from single setpoint controllers to programmable, communication based systems are available.

Our technicians have relocated hundreds of chambers, oven and walk in rooms over the years. We offer a full turnkey package to move your equipment, including teardown, shipping, reinstallation and start up at the new site.
